WANTED: Women and Men Who Adore Yoga
Is downward dog a daily occurrence?
Can you credit yoga for your sanity?
Has your yoga practice influenced your personal or professional lives?
Then I want to talk to you!
I’m currently working on my 4th assignment for Yoga Journal Magazine.
Having worked with the magazine for over a year, I’m always looking for new content to pitch to them.
The front section of YJ is called Om and opens with a profile of a modern yogi who has been influenced by their practice.
Recently, I pitched the work of certified yoga teacher and sustainable artist Tara Hogan. Her profile will be appearing in the November 2008 issue of the magazine.
I’m looking for folks who practice yoga regularly (at least twice a week) and, due to their continued practice, have been influenced personally or professionally - such as fund raising, becoming a yoga teacher, creativity, open a business … etc.
Know of someone who fits this description (maybe even you)? Leave me a comment or send me an email with an overview of their/your story. I’ll contact you to let you know if their/your experience is what the magazine is looking for.
Please note: I CANNOT GUARANTEE your inclusion in Yoga Journal Magazine. That decision is 100% up to the magazine’s editors. I’m happy to pitch your story to them and we’ll see how they react. Thank you for understanding.

Hi, My name is Anadil and I live in Berkshire, UK. I have practiced YogaBeats with David Sye for 8 yrs and it is very much instilled in to my life. It’s in my life, not only the time I make for postures and meditation, also the ripple effects of yoga - in my attitdue, my thinking, my awareness of self and importantly - of others, my positivity which is currently at an all time high and my creativity whcih has soared since yoga has become instilled within me. Yoga this has led me to discover, through the powerful union with my self, who I truly am and having the confidence to just be. Yoga has led me to discover my real passion in life and my purpose - children and helping the little ones who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused, living on the streets by providing them with emotional, physcological healing through various therapies, particulary an array of holistic approaches..including Yoga! It has help be find the clarity, strength and courage to start a charity in Nove 2007 called ‘AMARA’ www.amarachrity.org so that we can work for these children. We have our first project in Mongolia. I have asked my Yoga Master David to visit the children as I know the children will benefit from his unique Yogic teachings and I hope that this will help them enable them to also reach a place of confidence, balance, positivity and recognise that they each are such perfect, worthy children capable of anything that their souls desire. I do work to maintain yoga in hope that I can remain in this beautiful place that I have reached and continue to be live my purpose. Much Love x
