  1. I know AA sells organic cotton but I wouldn’t encourage people to buy from them…

    From Wiki

“The company has been criticized for sexually charged advertising and unconventional corporate culture. In 2005, three female employees filed sexual harassment lawsuits against American Apparel’s CEO, Dov Charney. Charney claimed to have slept with employees, and reportedly masturbated numerous times and had oral sex performed on him by an employee during a series of interviews with a writer for Jane (magazine). American Apparel has also been accused of focusing on personal style and outward appearance in its hiring practices for retail positions.”

  3. I wouldn’t always believe all the Hype about AA, and nearly everyone including many eco designers have sexually charged photos…which of course is a matter of opinion, since some people are ’sexually charged’ by smelling dirty socks! haha. I like AA, and they are extending their organic collection- and if any big company could really make organic look hip it would be AA over walmart or target.
Thanks Victoria for this great lingerie list !

  4. No matter the industry, it seems “sex sells” has become the number one rule. Personally, sexuality is not the most important thing to me when I got shopping for … anything … but hey, it seems to work for everyone else!
