New Chic Organic Collection from Envirosax
BRING YOUR OWN BAG! You can’t turn a corner in the grocery store or log on to a green website these days without being reminded to tote your own totes when shopping. At least once a week, I hear about a new company that sells their own version (or at least screen printed with their own designs) of the reusable bag - where does it end!?
Amongst the sea of choices, I found my favorite brand over six months ago and have never been without a bag when I need one. Australian-based Envirosax was started by a husband and wife team with a simple mission: spread the world’s green message with stylish color and shapes. Earlier this year, I did an interview with wife Belinda on GreenOptions.com that’s very much worth a read (hint hint).
Swank visuals are a key part of Envirosax’s Graphic Series, but the fact that they roll up to a size of 4″ by 1.5″ is really freaking helpful - I keep Flora Bag #2 and 5 in my purse at all times. Though they have always offered the Organic Series along with their graphic counterpart, Envirosax most recently expanded from one hemp bag to include three bamboo and two linen designs.
According to the Envirosax website, “the bags come with their own little pouch for easy storage in a glove compartment or handbag. Envirosax Organic Series bags are printed with vegetable based inks and are all packaged a recycled cardboard box that has been printed with organic soy-based waterless inks.” Why not just roll them up like the Graphic Series? I’m not sure, but they are quite beautiful designs all the same. I get compliments on my Enviosax all the time and I’ve seen countless people around San Francisco with them already - rock on Envirosax!

NEW bamboo collection: “Several Asian cultures, believe that humanity emerged from a bamboo stem. An enduring natural resource, bamboo is also a critical element of the economy, an ancient medicine and integrally involved in culture and the arts. Bamboo is 100% biodegradable as it is naturally grown, without assistance from man, thriving naturally without using any pesticides or fertilizers. 100% sustainable, bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world.”

NEW linen collection: “Linen may be the oldest textile material in the world. Its history goes back many thousands of years. Fragments of straw, seeds, fibres and yarns, which date back to about 8000 B.C. have been found in Swiss lake dwellings. Linen was also used in the Mediterranean in the pre-Christian age and was even sometimes used as currency in ancient Egypt. Linen - elegant, beautiful, durable, the refined luxury fabric.”
